Re-Certification
The AIMRRA’s re-certification requirements are designed to promote each AIMRRA credential(s) holder to continue professional development through educational training, courses and seminars that will aid the community more effectively. The American International Medical Record Review Association, Inc considers that AIMRRA credential(s) holder should continue to expand their expertise and competences through academic trainings and/or programs. AIMRRA certifications are valid for one year.
AIMRRA Certifications are current for one year from the date of issue. The certification holder must accumulate thirty eight (38) Continued Education Credits (CEC) prior to the certification expiration date. The certification holder must accumulate the required hours at any time during the one year certification period. An active AIMRRA credential holder is required to pass an annual recertification exam to maintain their certification.
An updated of events of activities and products which qualify for Continued Education Credits (CEC) is available on the Association's website at www.aimrra.org. The individual must have a valid AIMRRA certification(s) to continue to use the AIMRRA certification designation.

*Other professional organizations may not be approved for continued education and will be reviewed for approval.

- An active AIMRRA credential holder is required to pass an annual recertification exam to maintain their certification.
Continued Education Credits (CEC) are counted based on the date of completion and/or date of certification exam.
More than 50% of all Continued Education Credits (CEC) submissions will continue to be randomly selected for verification. Member should complete the continued education credits form and upload their CEC certificates into their membership account.
Please note that certificates must have title of program attended, your full name, number of CEC or CEU approved credits, date of program, organization name and contact information.
