Intended Audience
People interested in the following careers working with healthcare records, such as doctors, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, physician assistants, dentists, chiropractors, medical writers and editors, copyeditors, medical receptionists, medical transcription or transcriptionist, medical assistant, medical coding and billing, and health information or medical directors.

Course Description
The concept of our course program focuses on analyzing medical record charts for the appropriate compliance following and monitoring regulatory changes applying medical record review concepts and principles during the review process, medical chart reviewing, healthcare data abstraction, and chart abstraction that specialized in hybrid stars performance measures.


Course Objectives

Students will be able to perform chart review and data abstraction for hybrid stars performance measures and ensure members’ clinical documentation is accurately retrieved from the patient’s health record according to the NCQA guidelines specification.

CHRR® Certification Course Length

Online Live Virtual - The live virtual instructor led course and certification exam is designed to be completed with the required clock hours and certification exam with thirty (30) days of completion of course. Separate from reading & study time, this course includes approximately 12-18 clock hours of contact work and 40 hours of self-study time.

Online Self-Paced – The self-paced course and certification exam is designed to be completed in sixty (60) days. Reading & study time, this course includes approximately 52 - 58 hours of self-study time.

Each student has 1 attempt to pass the exam. If the student does not pass the exam, the student will not be certified and cannot use the credentials behind their name.
Successful Course Completion includes: A passing score of 95% or higher on final exam.

The certification is valid for 2 years after successfully meeting the requirements and passing the CHRR® exam.
